ANTARES a.s. has been family-run since its foundation in 1992 and is currently one of the largest European manufacturers of office chairs. In 1992, it was founded as a trading company with a focus on office seating furniture. In 1993, thanks to the favorable market situation, it gradually transformed into a manufacturing company. In addition to exports oriented to Western European markets, the company established during 1995 – 2001additional companies in Slovakia, Hungary, Romania,Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Morocco and Ghana.

The group currently has over 270 employees, seven production plants, sales teams in eight countries and its products are exported to another thirteen countries. Annual production exceeds 1.3 million chairs, with a total turnover of 30 million EUR.

Apart from the company headquarters, ANTARES a.s. has two other production and non-production companies in Central and Eastern Bohemia:

Běšínov u Kouřimi: Central warehouse, packaging and forwarding

Heřmanův Městec: Main production plant, development department, material warehouse

Molitorov: showroom, sales department, purchasing department

Markets with direct operations: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Morocco, Ghana
